"Wae Ha Muh Nee" & "Wae Ha Buh Jee"

This past Saturday my parents babysat Nathan for the first time ever. Dan and I had a bowling date with our church. It's funny because in all the years we've been together, we never went bowling! The last time I bowled was over 10 years ago in college...I actually took a bowling class to fulfill one of my gym requirements. We bowled 3 games and we both hit over 100 in our 2nd game...not bad, huh?!! Boy, my arms are killing me!

Dan's parents couldn't babysit, so I was really nervous about asking my parents to watch him for 3 hrs (especially since this was the first time). Turns out I had nothing to worry about. Nathan had a great time with my mom and ate really well. He didn't even cry for us when we left and was really happy to see us when we returned. We've been trying to teach him the difference between my parents and Dan's parents (in Korean, we add the word "Wae" to distinguish the mother's side). He picked it up very quickly and knows to call my parents "Wae Ha Muh Nee" and "Wae Ha Buh Jee". He can't quite properly pronounce grandmother and grandfather correctly in Korean (it's supposed to be "Hal Muh Nee" and "Hal Ah Buh Jee"). It was so cute because he saw a family portrait in their family room and started calling everybody "Wae Uncle", "Wae Eee Moh", "Wae Mommy", etc. He's such the little comedian.

Mall Pics

Some pics of our mall trips. While I go to get my bubble tea at one of the kiosks (yum!), Daddy takes Nathan to play with this interactive projector thing. He has no idea how it works and sometimes the other older kids get mad at him because he gets in the way. Whenever they show the popcorn or balls bouncing around, he gets so excited.

American Idol - Final 11

So Blandon, I mean Brandon, is gone. He was terribly boring this week, but Sanjaya still should have gone before him. "Ain't No Mountain High Enough" was way too big for Sanjaya....I cringed when I heard he was going to sing that and boy was I right....I ended up fast forwarding his song because it was way too torturous. I don't know who keeps voting for him, but he needs to get off next week! America better not step it up and vote for him because he was in the bottom 2!

My favs are between Lakisha & Melinda. Jordin is getting up there along with Stephanie. If I have pick my fav guys, it's Chris Sligh & Blake, but this year is definitely a girl's competition.

American Idol - Final 12

I'm really happy that Antonella is not in the final 12 (she should have not even been in the final 24 to begin with), but how in the world did Sanjaya and Haley make it???!!! They are horrible horrible singers. Sabrina and Sundance are much much much better singers and they were totally robbed. What happened? As the judges said, this is a singing competition and America got it completely wrong. Hopefully they'll go next week so that we won't have to see them on the AI tour. Do we really want to see Sanjaya hula dancing all year?!! Ugh.
